KidStar has been recognized as an organization that not only educates, but provides a productive alternative to Juvenile crime.

Many of the children that we encounter come from difficult home situations. KidStar provides a bright light for these kids where none otherwise would exist. These are the kids that we can redirect away from destructive behavior and not only provide them with educational tools, but provide them with a sense of self worth and self esteem that they can carry with them their entire lives.

On the floor of the Congress during the Proceedings and Debates of the 106th Congress, KidStar was described as an excellent program to provide our youth with positive alternatives to destructive activities when referencing the Violent and Repeat Juvenile Offender and Accountability and Rehabilitation Act S.254.

One of Senator Hatch’s comments on the floor of the Senate was:

“As we continue to search for solutions to juvenile crime, let’s remember the best solutions come from individuals working on a local level to make a difference. I am extremely enthusiastic about the programs I mentioned and hope the positive benefits of programs such as KIDSTAR can be extended to the entire nation.”
